“The Chronicles of Narnia” is one of the greatest fantasy series ever written. It tells tales of the creation and history of the country of Narnia and it’s creator, the giant lion, Aslan. Narnia is a place, where animals talk and many strange and wonderful things happen. Each of the seven books tells an exciting and compelling tale in C. S. Lewis’ crisp and descriptive prose. Each story subtly weaves in morals and lessons. The second book “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” contains an allegory of what Christ did for humanity when He was on earth. The final book “The Last Battle” is an allegory for the end of the world.
Both children and adults enjoy “The Chronicles of Narnia” so this makes it a great series for parents to read to their children. Families will get many hours of pleasure from this series.

“The Iron Sceptre” is the sequel to “The Tower of Geburah”. Gaal has called Wesley, Kurt and Lisa back to Anthropos. But, He has done it in a strange way through their unpleasant, unattractive cousin, Mary. In a mysterious assignment, Gaal has called Wesley to plunge the Sword of Geburah into the center of the yellow circle.
Strangely, there is snow in Anthropos. Why is that, since Anthropos is normally tropical? What dangers await the kingdom and the children when they go back to Anthropos? This enchanting and exciting story also weaves in some excellent morals that children and adults will appreciate, such as what is true beauty, and the importance of complete obedience. This is a book that children and adults will both like.
